Mindszenty High School Senior Architecture students Visits NDBP
On November 22, 2017 six senior students at the Mindszenty High School Architecture Class and their teacher, Mrs. Lorraine Tellei, visited National Development Bank of Palau (NDBP) to learn about how NDBP serve the people of Palau, particularly in the area of commercial and home financing. These students were also able to learn firsthand about the basics of energy efficient measures in home construction, on grid and off grid solar energy systems and rainwater catchment tanks, all of which are part of NDBP’s subsidized loan programs.
Harley Fletcher becomes a CAMS® certified
On June 6, 2017, our very own commercial loan manager, Harley Fletcher, became a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (or CAMS®). Mr. Fletcher was certified by the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS®). ACAMS® is the leading organization of professionals in the anti-money laundering (AML) field. CAMS® is awarded to professionals who successfully complete a rigorous examination of their skills in anti-money laundering detection and enforcement. According to John Byrne, the Executive Vice President of ACAMS®, “Earning the CAMS® credential places the successful candidate in an elite group of AML professionals and assures employers in the private and public sectors that they are working with someone with the essential knowledge and background in the crucial and challenging field”.
