There are seven Directors of the Bank, six of which are appointed by the President of the Republic, with advice and consent of the Senate. The seventh, the President of the Bank is an ex-officio member of the Board by virtue of the position. Directors as of April 2016 are:
Ms. Claire Harvey
President/CEO
Ms. Claire Harvey was appointed as NDBP’s President and Chief Executive Officer on March 2016. While she is new to the position, she is actually no stranger to NDBP. Ms. Harvey previously provided a successful assistance program to NDBP as a consultant; specifically in developing and implementing the institution's credit policy in 2006 and 2009. Ms. Harvey has extensive work experience well over 30-years in the Banking industry and has been active in consulting to small, medium, and large businesses; providing assistance in a wide range of areas including leadership, management, financials acumen, strategic planning, executive and CEO coaching, to name but a few.
Mr. Marino Rechesengel

Mr. Rechesengel was appointed to the Board in September and began service in October 2009. He currently serves as the Director of the Bureau of the National Treasury for the Republic. He has extensive experience with the Ministry of Finance and Treasury Operations.
Mr. Otoichi Besebes
Vice Chairman
Mr. Otoichi Besebes joined the Board of Directors on August 2013 and became Vice Chairman in September of the same year. Notably, Mr. Besebes is no stranger to NDBP as he served as the Vice President of NDBP from 1983-1996. He also held distinguished positions including being the President of the Pacific Islands Development Bank (PIDB) from 1996 to 2001 and being the Minister of Commerce & Trade for the Republic of Palau from 2001 to 2008. Mr. Besebes graduated from the University of Hawaii in 1968 with a BA Degree in Business with a minor in Economics.
Ms. Everdil Rechebei

Ms. Rechebei was appointed to the Board of Directors in October 2014 and is currently the Chief Financial Officer/Finance & Accounting Manager for the Republic of Palau Civil Service Pension Plan (CSPP). Prior to her employment with CSPP, Ms. Rechebei was the Budget and Finance Officer for the Palau Community Health Centers under the Bureau of Public Health (Ministry of Health). She graduated in 2005 from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Finance and a minor in Economics.
Mr. Kyonori Tellames

Mr. Tellames graduated from Nakano School of Business in Tokyo, Japan with a Certificate of Completion. He is the Senior Planning Analyst for the Bureau of Budget & Planning-Ministry of Finance and has been with the Palau Statistics Office since 1996. Additionally, he is serving his first term as a hamlet legislator for the Koror State Government, representing Idid Hamlet. He was appointed to the Board in April 2015.
Ms. Jacqueline Alexander

Ms. Alexander graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northern State University in 1988 with a dual degree in Business Management and Accounting. She held the post of Chief Financial Officer for the Palau Public Utilities Corporation from July 2006 to January 2015. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 1995. She was appointed to the Board in April 2015.
